We are hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to serve as the technical lead for the Gravemind team. You will own architecture decisions, drive design reviews, mentor engineers, and deliver on critical-path implementations. You will partner closely with security analysts who rely on your systems around the clock, and your technical judgment will shape how security automation scales across AWS.

Responsibilities

- Lead design and implementation of AI-powered security automation, including intelligent incident response and natural language-driven security workflows.

- Mentor and develop engineers on the team. Raise the technical bar through code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance.

- Drive operational excellence for services that support 24/7/365 security operations, including on-call, observability, and incident response.

- Partner with security analysts and security engineers to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities, and deliver tooling that reduces manual toil.

- Build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that consolidate security data sources into actionable metrics and reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution

Preferred

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
