As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the AWS Hardware Engineering team, you will architect and scale an AI-powered design validation platform that automates schematic review, PCB layout analysis, and system-level design verification for next-generation AWS server hardware.
Responsibilities
- Architect and scale an AI-powered design validation platform that automates schematic review, PCB layout analysis, and system-level design verification for next-generation AWS server hardware
- Own the design intelligence pipeline combining deterministic rule engines with multi-agent generative AI to validate board schematics and layouts against operational readiness standards and historical failure data
- Extend the platform to ingest complete design packages and derive test plans, coverage gaps, and risk flags that feed directly into manufacturing quality gates
- Architect the component knowledge base for AI cross-referencing against vendor datasheets, build engineering workflow integrations, and drive adoption across all hardware programs
Qualifications
Minimum
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
