As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Supercharge human creativity, productivity, and communication with AI (including Generative AI) across Google Workspace products.
Responsibilities
Translate high-level business goals into actionable technical roadmaps and engineering requirements while understanding the complexities of building AI powered features for new and scaled products.\nDrive high-impact monetization projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.\nPartner with engineering to evaluate system architectures for billing, quota management, and API tiering to ensure they meet Workspace's scale and latency requirements.\nIdentify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams.\nAddress the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results.\nBuild relationships and manage complex dependencies across Workspace product teams and internal/external partners.
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n5 years of experience in program management.\nExperience managing the end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobile and web applications, ensuring architectural alignment across.\nExperience in software development workflows, including code review and automated testing.\nExperience defining and tracking quality metrics for automated systems.
Preferred
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.\nExperience defining project scope, managing multiple stakeholders, and successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.\nExperience with software development project management.\nExperience in product management or strategy.\nDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and ambiguity within a fast-paced team environment.\nStrong problem-solving and quantitative skills.
