Paper "The Impact of Partial Computations on the Red-Blue Pebble Game" accepted at SPAA
Extends the canonical Red-Blue Pebble Game model by Hong and Kung (1981) to incorporate partial computations
Introduces light-red and dark-red pebbles to better model I/O complexity for associative operations
Shows an algorithm where I/O cost differs by a factor of n between classical RBP and the new PRBP model
Proves it is NP-hard to decide whether the I/O complexity differs significantly between the two models for a given algorithm
