Develops analytical, numerical, and experimental techniques across multiple length scales.
Primary research goals include optimal design, modeling, fabrication, and experimental characterization of metamaterials and structures with unprecedented property combinations.
Current research interests: beneficial size effects in nano-architected materials, nonlinear design of periodic and disordered mechanical metamaterials, and processing-microstructure-properties relationships in additive manufacturing (especially Two-Photon Polymerization Direct Laser Writing, Direct Ink Writing, Laser Powder Bed Fusion, and Cold Spray Deposition).
