Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. He has served as a Software Engineer, Project Manager, and Software Engineering Consultant in several companies, including INDRA, a leading Spanish IT company. He serves as Editor in Chief of Computer Standards & Interfaces (Elsevier).

- Received his PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid in 2005; holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in 2002.
