Dr. Lazaro Janier Gonzalez-Soler is a senior researcher within the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity (ATHENE) and working with da/sec at the Faculty of Computer Science, Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany.
Education
He received his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Havana in 2014. In 2022, he completed his PhD on the development of generalisable presentation attack detection (PAD) algorithms for multiple types of biometric characteristics (i.e., fingerprints, face, and voice).
Background
His principal research interests are focused in areas of the Biometric and Machine Learning to improve the security of biometric systems, including Biometric Security, Presentation Attack Detection, Image Forensics, Biometric and Multi-biometric Systems, Parallel algorithms for Biometric, Data Mining and Pattern Recognition.
