Research on the ModRED project was featured in NASA’s Stimuli 2016-17 Magazine. Several papers accepted at JIRS, IROS 2025, FLAIRS 2025, SMC 2024, etc.
Research Experience
Worked as a robotics software engineer intern at The MathWorks Inc. during the summer of 2016; collaborated with Dr. Nikolaus Correll at the University of Colorado Boulder on Droplet swarm robots over the summer of 2014.
Education
Received a Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department of the University of Nebraska at Omaha in May 2017, working as a research assistant in the CMANTIC Lab under Dr. Prithviraj Dasgupta. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India, affiliated with West Bengal University of Technology, India. He also worked as a research assistant in the ACMU Unit at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India, under the guidance of Dr. Krishnendu Mukhopadhyaya.
Background
Currently an Associate Professor in the School of Computing at the University of North Florida. Research interests include multi-robot (informative) path planning, coordination among multiple robots, and motion learning.
