Academic Achievements
  • Published several articles on MRI technology, such as 'My Journey into Lung MRI', 'Tabletop MRI for Education - Teaching Experience', 'Violin Imaging and other fun UTE MRI scans', etc.
Research Experience
  • Leads the UCSF Larson Advanced Imaging Group, working closely with a network of researchers and clinicians. Research projects include Metabolic MRI with hyperpolarized contrast agents, Simultaneous PET/MR imaging systems, Lung MRI, Myelin MRI, Radiation treatment planning, and Prostate and kidney cancer prediction based on historical imaging data.
Background
  • Research interests include tackling problems in medical imaging using engineering-driven approaches to improve human health. Mainly focuses on MRI (although dabbles in CT and PET) and projects that are at or near the stage of human studies.
Miscellany
  • Interested in the sounds of MRI, synthesis of art and MRI; passionate about MRI education, having taught the 'Principles of MRI' course multiple times.
