Published several articles on MRI technology, such as 'My Journey into Lung MRI', 'Tabletop MRI for Education - Teaching Experience', 'Violin Imaging and other fun UTE MRI scans', etc.
Research Experience
Leads the UCSF Larson Advanced Imaging Group, working closely with a network of researchers and clinicians. Research projects include Metabolic MRI with hyperpolarized contrast agents, Simultaneous PET/MR imaging systems, Lung MRI, Myelin MRI, Radiation treatment planning, and Prostate and kidney cancer prediction based on historical imaging data.
Background
Research interests include tackling problems in medical imaging using engineering-driven approaches to improve human health. Mainly focuses on MRI (although dabbles in CT and PET) and projects that are at or near the stage of human studies.
Miscellany
Interested in the sounds of MRI, synthesis of art and MRI; passionate about MRI education, having taught the 'Principles of MRI' course multiple times.
