Academic Achievements
  • Recent papers: ECOOP 2025: Contrasting Deadlock-Free Session Processes (Jaramillo, Pérez); Information and Computation: Minimal Session Types for the pi-calculus (Arslanagic, Pérez, Palamariuc); CONCUR 2024: Around Classical and Intuitionistic Linear Processes (Jaramillo, Frumin, Pérez); MFPS 2024: Typed Non-determinism in Concurrent Calculi: The Eager Way (Van den Heuvel, Paulus, Nantes-Sobrinho, Pérez).
  • Recent talks: APM 2025: Asynchronous Session-based Concurrency: Deadlock Freedom by Typing; D-Con 2025 (Invited Talk): Contrasting Deadlock-Free Typed Processes, etc.
Research Experience
  • Associate professor (adjunct hoogleraar, tenured) at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. Leader of the Fundamental Computing group. Member of the board / Head of the Computer Science department, Bernoulli Institute. Project coordinator (lead PI), Cyclic Structures in Programs and Proofs (2025-2030).
Background
  • Research interests include rigorous programming models (in particular, process calculi) and their verification techniques; type systems for concurrency (especially session types) and their logical foundations; the expressive power of models of concurrency, both typed and untyped.
