Education
PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania; Previously a research assistant at ICTS, Bangalore; Completed undergraduate studies in physics at IISc, Bangalore, with a thesis at JNCASR.
Background
A fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, working with the Shenoy Research Group. Also a member of the NSF Center for Engineering Mechanobiology. Research interests include the physics of chromatin organization, particularly genetic regulation changes due to chemo-mechanical cues. Uses molecular dynamics simulations, numerical analysis, and machine learning tools to construct models and validate them through sequencing and STORM imaging techniques. Also interested in computational modeling of other biological and condensed matter systems, the study of the Indian monsoon, and the applications of AI methods in these fields.
