Before his current position, he worked in the electricity industry for several years. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Technology and has a joint appointment in the ECE Department at the University of Houston.
Education
Ph.D. from the University of Florida (Advisor: Yongpei Guan); B.S. from Hefei University of Technology.
Background
Research interests include power system operations and planning, electricity markets, optimization algorithms, and quantum computing. His research bridges classical and quantum algorithms to tackle large-scale challenges in energy systems and computing, using a model–algorithm–software co-design approach that integrates theory, computation, and practical implementation.
