From 2017 to 2020, he served as an Assistant Professor of Operations Research at the Department of Econometrics of Erasmus University Rotterdam. From 2019 to 2022, his position was funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) Veni grant.
Education
He obtained his Ph.D. from Tilburg University under the supervision of Prof. Dick den Hertog and Prof. Bertrand Melenberg. His Ph.D. position was financed by an NWO Research Talent grant. After that, he spent one year as a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management of Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, hosted by Prof. Aharon Ben-Tal.
Background
A Senior Data Scientist (with a focus on optimization) at the Boston Consulting Group. Previously, he was a tenured assistant professor at Delft University of Technology, Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics, as part of the Optimization group. His research interests include the theory of optimization under uncertainty with continuous and integer decision variables, as well as applications of robust optimization to real-world problems in engineering and operations management.
