Joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. in 1990; Assistant Professor at Tokai University from 1994 to 2013, progressing through the ranks of Lecturer, Associate Professor, and finally Professor; since 2013, has been a Professor at Meiji University, serving as Dean of the Graduate School of Advanced Mathematical Sciences in 2016; Visiting Researcher at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) starting 2017; Visiting Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science from 1997 to 1998; Chair of the Computer Security Working Group at Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) from 2009 to 2011; Director at IPSJ from 2013 to 2014; Chair of Information and Communication System Security (ICSS) at IEICE from 2013 to 2014; Board Chairman of JPCERT/CC since 2014.
