Education
Received a BS in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University in 1997; an MS in Information Systems from the same university in 2000; an MS in Management Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University in 2003; and a PhD in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University in 2006.
Background
Research interests include how information systems and technology can effectively support the transformation of healthcare delivery globally. Focuses on designing and developing patient-facing health information technologies, particularly personal health records (PHR) and mobile technologies; as well as the implementation and adoption of health information technologies (such as telehealth and electronic health records) in healthcare organizations.

Enjoys teaching because it allows interaction with students who have the potential to make the world a better place through technology. Continuously innovates in courses to ensure an enjoyable learning experience for students, teaching them key concepts and skills related to information systems through real-world examples, providing opportunities for peer learning, professional self-presentation, and most importantly, using or developing technology to make a difference.
