Research interests include: applications of Compliant and Robotic Systems (CARS) in areas such as orthotic/exoskeletal and prosthetic devices, soft and medical robotics, biomedical devices, soft robots, precision instrumentation, sensing and actuation, MEMS, designs for minimal assembly, and those undergoing desired large deformation. Inspiration is drawn from designs in nature.
