Research interests include creating the cyber-physical future of urban mobility using intelligent technologies and mathematics; developing context-aware artificial intelligence for automated vehicles and interpretable machine learning for travel behavior modeling; digital and physical resilience of emerging transportation systems with a focus on cybersecurity, privacy, and climate change; distributed traffic management system with applications in CAV routing, advanced on-demand transit, traffic management, & system optimization; ubiquitous sensors network for sensing multimodal traffic in real-time for complete streets; Virtual Immersive Reality Environment (VIRE) for travel behavior experiments.
