Academic Achievements
  • Conducted research projects supported by the National Science Foundation, Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research, Fulbright, Social Science Research Council, and Purdue University; Research has provided a deeper understanding of political complexity in the South Caucasus and the impact of new digital data collection methods in archaeology.
Research Experience
  • Co-directs an international collaborative expedition called Project ArAGATS with scholars from the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Republic of Armenia, Cornell University, NYU/Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Involved in multiple field projects including the Kasakh Valley Archaeological Survey (KVAS); Former president of the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC).
