Research Experience
Currently a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering and Director of the Data Intensive Distributed Computing Laboratory at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Designed and developed the Stork distributed data scheduling system and PetaShare distributed storage network. Currently working on OneDataShare as a cloud-hosted service and GreenDataFlow for green Internet.
Background
Research focuses on improving the performance, scalability, and sustainability of large-scale distributed systems, HPC clusters, data centers, and distributed AI workloads. Significant contributions in geo-distributed data analytics, performance and energy efficiency in large-scale distributed systems, wide-area distributed coordination, network and I/O optimization, and end-to-end dataflow management.
