Academic Achievements
  • Published 22 books and over 230 SCI/EI papers. Led the development of two international standards (the first ISO standard from SCNU) and participated in the formulation of eight national standards. Filed more than 20 patent applications and won nine best academic paper awards at international conferences, the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Guangdong Province, and the Science and Technology Award from the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association.
Research Experience
  • Currently serves as a member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the IEEE CT Society. He is also the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Standardization Administration TC62 Committee, among other roles. He has served as guest editor-in-chief and associate editor for multiple SCI journals and co-chair or PC member for several international conferences. He has led four national-level research projects (three from the National Natural Science Foundation) and many provincial and ministerial-level projects.

  • PhD from City University of Hong Kong; Postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University; Studied and worked at York University in Canada, Emory University in the USA, and the University of New South Wales in Australia.

  • Professor and doctoral supervisor at South China Normal University, with research interests in natural language processing, large models, intelligent question answering, information extraction, and medical data analysis. He is a national young talent, a high-level overseas talent of Guangdong Province, an outstanding young teacher of Guangdong Province, and a scholar of the Hong Kong Croucher Foundation, among other honors.
