Academic Achievements
- Recipient of the 2016 Qualcomm Roberto Padovani Award for his innovative contribution. Also received the CERES Research Award from the CS Department of the University of Chicago. Published multiple papers, including ISCA 2022, ISSCC 2022, PVLDB 2019, etc.
Research Experience
- At Alibaba, he mainly worked on AI software (compiler and runtime system) and LLM optimization. In his Ph.D., he worked on accelerating data analysis in the data lake paradigm using both software and hardware techniques.
Education
- Obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago in 2019, supervised by Prof. Andrew A. Chien; received his B.S. in Microelectronics from Fudan University.

- Currently works at Modular, a startup focusing on AI infrastructure. He was an AI system researcher at Alibaba DAMO. His research interests include the entire stack of computing systems, such as computer architecture, compiler, system, database, and AI.
