Research has been implemented as decision aids by governmental and non-governmental organizations. For instance, HEALER and CHANGE have been deployed at three nonprofits in Los Angeles: Safe Place for Youth, My Friend's Place, and Los Angeles LGBT center. Additionally, TRIM-AI has been continuously deployed at Jacaranda Health since July 2022.
Research Experience
Led the development of HEALER and CHANGE, two AI decision support systems aimed at reducing HIV (and other STIs) incidence among homeless youth in America; Developed TRIM-AI, an AI system aiding Jacaranda Health (a non-profit in Kenya) in accurately triaging medical symptoms faced by pregnant women and new mothers; Created profit prediction systems for Indian farmers to aid their economic empowerment; Also developed decision support systems promoting social empowerment for poor farmers in Chhattisgarh, India.
