Academic Achievements
  • The team supports an open service under the European Human Brain Project, with users globally. They research the design and application of such systems to contribute to brain science and improve the energy efficiency of machine learning and AI applications.
Research Experience
  • The research focuses on two main areas: many-core systems and neuromorphic computing. In the area of many-core systems, it has leading expertise ranging from compilers and software infrastructures to FPGAs and runtime systems; in neuromorphic computing, this extends from microchip design to large-scale systems like the million-core SpiNNaker brain-modeling machine.
Miscellany
  • The APT group welcomes approaches from potential postgraduate students interested in studying for an MPhil or PhD and is keen to collaborate with companies and other academic groups interested in their research programs.
