Research Experience

Before joining Alibaba, he was a Research Fellow in the DB System Group at National University of Singapore. Now, he works in the Database and Storage Lab at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, focusing on building reliable, secure, intelligent, performant, and globally distributed database systems and services.

Education

Ph.D. in Computer Science from National University of Singapore; B.S. in Computer Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology, China.

Background

Research interests include cloud-native and distributed database architectures, encrypted, verifiable, and trustworthy databases, AI agents for autonomous database operations, privacy-preserving computation, data storage and indexing, data analytics systems, and blockchain systems. Currently a Research Scientist/Director in the Database and Storage Lab at Alibaba Cloud.
