Academic Achievements
  • Published multiple research papers on cross-lingual zero-shot generalization, graph repairs, knowledge graph-based templated question answering, interlingua for unity of Indian languages, and a comprehensive tool for multi-task natural language annotation.
Research Experience
  • Currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. Previously, a postdoctoral researcher at LIRIS Research Lab, University of Lyon 1, hosted by Prof. Angela Bonifati and Prof. Andrea Mauri. Taught at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, covering courses on Databases and Data Mining, and Introduction to Natural Language Processing. Served as a Senior Tutor at CSE, IIT Kanpur, managing Prutor administration for “ESC101: Introduction to Programming” course, leading the tutor team, setting question papers, and grading.

  • PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur, 2014-2023, under the supervision of Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya; MSc in Computer Science from Chennai Mathematical Institute, 2011-2013; BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Chennai Mathematical Institute, 2007-2010.

  • Research interests lie in the intersection of Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, and Graph Databases, with a particular focus on low-resource languages such as Sanskrit and other Indian languages. Committed to leveraging an interdisciplinary background to pioneer innovations, with a strong emphasis on creating real-world impact. Broader interests include Databases, Software, Information Retrieval, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, and Data Mining.
