Background
- Research interests include emotion modeling in robots, exploring the biologically and philosophically inspired foundations of cognition and affect. Her research focuses on the origins and constituents of embodied cognition, particularly through autonomous agents (robots and artificial life simulations). She is interested in motivated behavior grounded in an (artificial) physiology and the roles that emotional phenomena play in various aspects of intelligence, adaptation, behavior, and interaction.
