Academic Achievements
Served as a reviewer for multiple journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Computer & Security, Pervasive and Mobile Computing journal, etc. Also, a technical program committee member or chair for various international conferences including IC2SDA 2025, GRASEC workshop @ ARES 2025, LCN 2025, NTMS 2025, KES 2025, etc.
Research Experience
Involved in several research projects including ROMANCE, GLADIS, BI4People, CyberSecGraph, and DATACAP. These projects cover modeling vulnerabilities in organizational information systems, graph-based learning and analysis for intrusion detection, data privacy, and attack detection in IoT applications.
Education
Earned a Ph.D. in computer science in 2016 through a joint program between the University of Bejaia in Algeria and the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in France; obtained a Magister degree from the University of Bejaia in 2009; and an engineering degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Sétif in 2006.
Background
Currently an associate professor at the University of Lumière Lyon 2 and a member of the SID research team within the ERIC laboratory. His research spans several key areas in cybersecurity and data management, focusing on secure data collection methods in resource-constrained environments like the Internet of Things (IoT), key management strategies, and graph database analytics for identifying and mitigating cybersecurity threats.
