Resume (English only)
Academic Achievements
The paper 'Similarity between interval-valued fuzzy sets taking into account the width of the intervals and admissible orders' has been accepted for publication in Fuzzy Sets and Systems. Serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics journals. Developed multiple open-source software frameworks, such as JuzzyOnline and Juzzy.
Research Experience
Serves as a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Lab for Uncertainty in Data and Decision Making (LUCID) at the University of Nottingham. The research combines interdisciplinary insights, such as in interpretable and interactive AI, and the development of new approaches for capturing and analyzing data from people, working with Social Science, Psychology, and Mathematics.
Education
Grew up in Luxembourg and moved to the UK for university education in 2001. Currently, a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, UK.
Background
Research interests include the modeling and handling of uncertain data, decision support systems, and data-driven policy design. Focuses on uncertain data arising from both qualitative (e.g., people) and quantitative sources (e.g., sensors, processes). Applications span cybersecurity, environmental management, and smart product design.
Miscellany
Contributes to open-source software, aiming to make research outputs accessible to researchers within and beyond computer science.
