Research Experience
Visiting Scientist (level W2) at University of Hildesheim, Research Associate (on leave) at University of Kassel, Temporary Lecturer at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Senior developer of the social publication sharing system BibSonomy and maintainer of the FCA-tool conexp-clj.
Background
Research interests include the foundations and applications of explainable artificial intelligence, (interactive) extraction of knowledge from explicit and implicit data using machine learning procedures. Particularly interested in semantics arising from implicational theories in complex and large data, lattice orders, and ordinal-metric spaces. High-dimensional problems are of special interest as they represent a current challenge for the effectiveness of learning procedures. Also very interested in unsupervised learning from large text corpora and applications of his methods in Biology, Geography, Physics, Digital Humanities, and more.
