  • Joined Toyohashi University of Technology as a research assistant in April 2005 and was part of the Discrete Optimization Laboratory led by Prof. Toshihiro Fujito; promoted to Assistant Professor in April 2007; moved to Tokyo Institute of Technology as an Associate Professor in December 2007; became a Research Associate Professor at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in October 2010; since April 2012, has been with the Department of Communication Engineering and Informatics, Graduate School of Informatics and Engineering, The University of Electro-Communications (renamed to Department of Computer and Network Engineering in April 2016); promoted to Professor in April 2017.

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Systems Science from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1999 and 2001, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Masataka Nakamura; PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2005, under the supervision of Prof. Emo Welzl.
