Academic Achievements
- Published over 100 conference and journal articles; Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Human Computer Studies; involved in several EU Horizon 2020 projects such as SPICE (supporting Citizen Curation) and Polifonia (exploring new ways of interacting with musical heritage using visualization, gesture, and haptic interfaces); also works on OUAnalyse, which uses machine learning methods to detect students at risk of failing.
Research Experience
- Has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on 12 national or European projects covering technologies for the visitor use of archives and museum collections, mobile applications for formal and informal learning, automated narrative generation tools, and semantic and knowledge technologies for school and work-based learning.

- Holds a first degree in psychology, a Masters degree in computing, and a PhD in cognitive science.
