- Recipient of the European Association for Biometrics (EAB) Research Award 2023 and the IEEE Biometrics Council Best Doctoral Dissertation Award 2025. Multiple papers accepted in ICCV 2025, ICML 2025, ICLR 2025, and other international conferences. Organized several international workshops.
Research Experience
- Postdoctoral Researcher at Idiap Research Institute since 2024. Worked as a Research Assistant at Idiap Research Institute during his Ph.D. and was a visiting scholar at Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany, for 6 months.
Education
- Received his Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2024, and was a Research Assistant during his PhD at Idiap Research Institute, where he received H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship (TReSPAsS-ETN). M.Sc. in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 2018, and B.Sc. (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the University of Kashan, Iran, in 2016. During his Ph.D., spent 6 months as a visiting scholar with the Biometrics and Internet Security Research Group at Hochschule Darmstadt, Germany.
Background
- Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Biometrics Security and Privacy Group, Idiap Research Institute, Switzerland. His research interests include but are not limited to deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, generative models, foundation models, and biometrics.
