Published the CRASAR-U-DRIODs dataset, funded by the AI Institute for Societal Decision Making.
Research Experience
Currently a research intern at U.S. DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, working with Dr. Peng Wang and the Resource Constraint Adaptive Computing Group. Master’s research was in Human-Robot Interaction, specifically investigating the role of touch interaction between trapped victims in rubble and small uncrewed ground vehicles (sUGVs). Also worked on curating disaster datasets of aerial imagery and developing robust machine learning/computer vision models for damage assessments.
Education
Master's degree: Texas A&M University, Computer Science, advised by Dr. Robin Murphy; Bachelor's degree: The Ohio State University, Computer Science and Engineering, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, part of the Humanitarian Engineering Scholars program.
Background
Research interests are broadly in human-centered AI/ML, robust machine learning, and human-robot interaction. Passionate about societal applications like disaster response and recovery, humanitarian, and sustainable applications.
