Publications: RAAC panels can suddenly collapse before any warning of corrosion-induced surface cracking; Unravelling the interplay between steel rebar corrosion rate and corrosion-induced cracking of reinforced concrete; Predicting the impact of water transport on carbonation-induced corrosion in variably saturated reinforced concrete.
Research Experience
Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of Oxford; Completed Master's thesis in the group of Prof Garth Wells at the University of Cambridge, concerning mathematical methods to enforce contact boundary conditions in the exascale problem of a simulated working jet engine.
Education
Master's degree: Czech Technical University, Structural and Transportation Engineering, supervised by Prof. Milan Jirásek; PhD: Imperial College London, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, supervised by Prof Emilio Martínez-Pañeda, Prof Hong S. Wong, and Prof. Milan Jirásek, working on the mathematical modeling of corrosion-induced cracking in reinforced concrete.
Background
